There is collaboration between basic, translational, clinical, and population based research within the Division of Hematology/Oncology.
Grant information
The current year of 2008 we have over $8 million funding in NIH grants and over 100 active contracts with industrial companies for clinical trials.
Facilities
Hematology/Oncology research is conducted within the Karmanos Cancer Institute and includes outpatient clinics, 1 floor of academic offices which includes a conference facility, and video-conferencing capability. There are 4 floors of research laboratories which house 39 laboratories. This facilitates translational research and their locations bridge basic and clinical research opportunities.
